Features of Army Combat Uniform ACU

The army combat uniform ACU is the first major change in its BDU or battle dress uniform since 1981. The army combat uniform ACU is centered on a computer generated, camouflage pattern, three digital colors printed on polyester and cotton blend, wash and wear fabric. Three distinct versions were developed and nearly 10,000 new ACU were produced. The army combat uniform ACU consists of trousers, jacket, brown combat shoes and moisture wicking t,shirt. The ACU will still have the black beret as the normal headgear, but this uniform also includes a matching patrol cap which can be worn at the discretion of the commander.

Other features of the army combat uniform ACU includes;

- Rank insignia worn on the right check pocket

- Zippered front closure

- Velcro for identifying unit patch

- Knee pouch

- Elastic leg cuff

The summer army combat ACU will be made with weight fabric, and the uniform will include a sewn on identifier patch to identify other service members under night vision glimmers.

There are many things people don’t know when it comes to politics. For example, the American Reform Party, which began with the campaign of Ross Perot in 1996.

The American Reform Party was the advocate for limited government and lowering taxes. However, it recently started to promote a coalition of third parties in the U.S. By joining the American Reform Party, you’ll be fulfilling its goal of political coalition.

To join the American Reform Party you will need to contact your state’s American Reform Party off. Let them know you’re looking to join the organization on either the state or national level. While there is a membership fee, it’s pretty low. With this, you get full access to news on party activities all through the United States.

Browse the Internet and other message boards on the American Reform Party and third parties prior to joining the organization. Online boards allows users talk with other members throughout the country.

After joining the American Reform Party, this is your chance to get involved with creating a huge platform at the national committee meeting.

Now it’s time to find independent candidates you feel would fit perfectly with the agenda the American Reform Party believes in. Those with a more conservative viewpoint could join without getting in the way of political independence.

It’s good to work with third parties in your state in hopes of pushing for ballot access. You even have the option of working with members of the Green, Libertarian and Constitution Party. Doing this helps with getting signatures and finding people that would be interested in having a better choice when it comes time to vote.

Try and get local media attention or the Internet to help promote the American Reform Party that you decided to join. It’d be more beneficial to work with volunteers who have more experience when it comes to promoting the tenets of the Reform Party to different newspapers and radio stations.

Becoming a Democratic Party candidate means you care about the environment, want to reform the government, help with human rights and of course to stop those companies that are greedy. If you feel that there isn’t a great candidate out there to do the job, why not become a running candidate for the Democratic Party?

You will need to be super organized and have some pretty great ideas. There are just a few steps that can take you from just being an ordinary person to a Democratic candidate.

First thing to do is head over to your town hall and make sure you register as a Democrat. Then you’ll have to file all the necessary paperwork with either the federal or state election commission. Without the proper paper work you won’t be able to start taking money for your campaign. It’s always good to check with the commission’s office to make sure you have everything in order.

Next is the somewhat tricky part- getting support from the delegates to get nominated. These delegates are representing different towns that will select the main candidate for the Democratic Party. Think of this part as an election before the main election.

Start building your organization early. Try and recruit a staff, volunteers and start brainstorming ideas that you plan on bringing up during the platform. It’s really important to get everything planned out before anything.

Another big part in the planning process is creating your budget and sticking to it. Try and see if you can find people to donate money.

Once everything is in order, get a hold of the secretary of state’s office and have them put you on the ballot. Make sure you stay in touch to make sure you get on the ballot.

Now it’s time to convince people why you should be elected. All thing things you’ve learned along the way will help you in the long run.

Next Female Governor of Oklahoma

History is going to be rewritten for Oklahoma with two women running for the post of next governor. A barrier of men will be broken with the first such election since Americas independence and subsequent combining.

The two candidates are Jari Askins and Mary Fallin from democrats and republicans respectively. Askins was also the fist woman to hold the post of a judge in Olkahoma court rooms of the Parole Board and the Pardon boards. She was also meant to to be the first woman to grace the Oklahoma House as a speaker. This first was never meant to be because the republicans lost in 2004. On the other hand Fallin has broken some records of her own She was the firs woman lieutenant governor of Oklahoma and also the first republican to hold this place. One of these woman’s is definitely going to make history by becoming the first woman governors of Oklahoma. And it is going to change rules from here on about electing women in governmental positions and break many glasses. Th current governor from the democrats is Brad Henry who has spent eight long years in the Oklahoman office. In New mexico too two women are running for the post of the New Mexico’s position of a governor. But these few rare women vs women contests are rarely seen in the politic of United States. Hence it is good to when ever some state has a woman versus woman fight. Every ones looking at Okalahoma to see what further improvements what will these kinds of competitions make in the monotonous American politics. Oklahoma has other woman firsts, it was the first state to in the country when Kate Barnard wan named commissioner for the Charities and Corrections facility. What ever the result, the records will be re written.

Finding Real Politics

People who have been to Oklahoma will realize that it is just like any small town in America, but still find something very peculiar about this place. A few people will not know and many other will not even care to find out. But Oklahoma is one of the few political power houses of America.

This fact is written in the famous book “Tiny Tracts Put Political Zip in 2010 Elections” by Dave Levinthal. This was released on Opensecrets.org and has cause quite a stir with its hair raising facts about he American political scene. Among lots of other things one thing it mentioned about Okalahoma was the realization that Oklahoma is indeed one of the big power houses of America that plays a significant part in the Republicans or the democrats run for the elections all around the state. If you look at Okalahoma closely you will find casino’s being run by big political parties or people with big political connections. Take for example the Cherokees running casinos when they should be illegal. They have the only casino in this place thanks to other politicians. THer are among the largest contributors of money for the smooth running of the election campaign in Okalahoma. In comparison Levinthal has also compare zip codes of other cities powerful Manhattan and Hollywood with their politically powerful zip codes are among the nations the nations few partisan codes. These are the places from where most of the election money comes from and helps politicians run the government. Of the $23 million contributes by the entire state, the zip 6831 which lies in Greenwich has contributed more than $3 million on its own. Thou nothing illegal happening here but it just lets us common people know the business of elections and what and all can money buy.

Is your Vote Being Counted Right?

o you think that the vote you just gave to select the candidate you believe in has been valid? Lots of people believe that their votes have just entered will go to the right candidate. But the reality could be something very different. It has come to the notice of the media of the democrats involving in voter fraud and other irregularities based on the election process. But how true are these reports. One can never tell how widespread is this. It could be just a case of one small town or an entire state.

These irregularities and frauds are allegedly growing bigger with each passing election. It seems that this is the only way a party can win is by pulling strings that are illegal. Eric Holder has been advocating voter fraud in a big way and seems to be getting no where. He is fighting a failed battle with no where to go but down. The same thing that happened to the stimulus package given to the corporations to stay afloat by the Obama government is happening here. The congress which is currently in power can go into the next elections with the hopes that it has a way to alter what people feel about the government by getting their votes altered. Voting is the only way that common citizens have that can change the top seats of power and also the seats of the governors of the states. Out trust in the ruling party is inversely proportional to the amount of fraud and stupid bills that are passed by each passing election. Hence the current government has everything to fear for its continual. But our vestiges of trust are getting shattered each day with the news of votes being altered to get the way the congress wants.

Politicians Want You to Keep Spend

Tax cuts are something that our government can never even think about in its wildest dreams. It can never let a penny go to waste. Tax cuts to the government is like the people get more money and they do not spend. It is meant like the money we you have is not your but it belong to the government. Our governmet has become like an insane bookie that is pushing people to the brink of insanity by forcing us to pay more and more. It known how to take but never does it learn to aleast imagine on the papers about reducing some taxes here and there. Since recession there have not been any sings of any tax cuts anywhere, nether has been there any respite to the exasperating amounts given to banks and automobile companies that are on the verge of collapse.

Lets just take the capitalists government which works on the basis that all the money belongs to the government and that is what drives the economy. Or socialistic government is going the way of capitalist government. In a socialistic government, the money belongs to the government first, then the government distributes it to the people to spread among themselves to increase the economy. Obama want to get what he spends on the people right away. At a recent interview he accepted that their government accepts if a billion is spend on the people, the government accepts this million back. They are right when it comes to rich individuals who do not spend their money and stop the economy, but the view that Obama and his government is not good for the poor people. Hence they stop from spending the billion they should spend fearing that they will never get it back and it is better in their hands instead.

Inspiring Young Voters

It seems with each new generation that approaches voting age, the political scene must adapt to meet the demands and interests of those within that generation to generate interest in politics and the election process. So, how then, can politicians adapt to meet the demands of the newest generation entering adulthood?

First, this younger generation has grown up using computers and online technology and uses this medium to access most of their information. Therefore, political candidates can most effectively reach this age group by using online campaigning methods. Social networking websites, blogs, and campaign pages are all effective outlets to reach Internet users. Additionally, video campaign messages can be very effectively distributed via online video usage websites.

Second, never before has a generation grown up with so many different mediums fighting to attract their attention. With the variety of mediums and floods of information competing for the youth’s attention, campaigners should construct their messages to effectively grab that attention. Then, the information should be constructed for fast consumption to prevent the audience members from losing interest.

Third, many younger citizens have been affected by the recent economic crisis and have witnessed how this affected those around them. They have also heard many news stories regarding the corrupt actions of certain politicians and company officials. Therefore, many youth may be more responsive to alternate messages such as those of the Reform Party that stand against dishonest practices and fight for positive change. These younger citizens want to know how candidates will improve the political scene if elected and what changes will be made to help avoid future crises.

In short, candidates shouldn’t underestimate the voting power of young adults reaching the voting age. When rallied to a cause and shown that their participation is valued and counts, this generation can be very powerful on Election Day.

The Corrupt Political Scene

The news has been full of stories regarding corrupt political officials lately. The political figures voted into office by the American public now discovered to have abused their power have betrayed the citizens and degraded the value of their elected office. While the deed has been done and they can’t undo the corruption, one must now ask – what caused these politicians to act unethically and how did they think they could get away with what they did?

The reasons for corruption surely differ with each situation. However, one possible reason for some corruption cases is that the officials saw themselves as above certain laws. When some people are elected into a position of power, they allow the seduction of that power to go to their head. This seduction can warp reality and make the individual feel that, since they are making decisions that affect the lives of many people and their job is quite important, then the basic laws don’t apply to them. However, with this thought process, these officials forget that they were elected into office by the American public to uphold the law and make changes that improve other’s lives, not just their own.

One particularly disheartening reason why some political officials may have thought they could get away with corruption was because they knew of other officials that had been unethical in their elected positions and had gotten away with those deeds. This is disheartening on several levels. First, if they new of other corrupt officials, then they should have reported those deeds immediately. Second, if the unethical actions of others were enough to sway them into corruption as well, then the political scene is in dire state indeed.

No matter the reasons why recent political figures chose the path of corruption, those who have been caught must now face justice. Hopefully one positive side of the news stories regarding corrupt politicians is that future politicians will begin thinking twice about abusing their power because they may just get caught.

Understanding Municipal Bonds

For many Reform Party supporters, governed issues bonds have helped them support their party. Bond issued by any governmental entity below a state is referred to as a municipal bond. Redevelopment agencies, counties or cities usually issue municipal bonds to investors of capital markets. The biggest benefit of municipal bonds is – the income in the form of interest generated through municipal bonds is exempt from federal and state tax.

Why Municipal Bonds are issued?

Government entities below state level at times need funding to carry out development works. In case a particular entity does not wish to fund a project from its coffers, cash is raised from varied investors in form of cash. The investor or the bond bearer then is issued a bond certificate authenticating his or her financial assistance. Government regulations state that the cash or funding raised through municipal bonds has to be spent on the specified project within a span of five years. Though under special and pre-approved circumstances, the debtor can use the proceeds to fund other special projects.

Repayment Periods

Typically, the debtor (government entity in this case) repays the investor within a short span of few months. However, in rare cases, the repayment period can even be of decades. The period during which the debtor holds the cash, the creditor or the investor is paid a certain interest. Federal regulations stipulate that interest rates offered on municipal bonds cannot be above a certain limit. Depending on the repayment terms of the municipal bond, the investor either receives a regular payment of interest or a lump sum payment at the end of term.

Benefit for Investors

Since income accrued on municipal bonds is exempt from federal and state tax, investors usually are willing to accept lower interest rates on these credit extensions. An investor can purchase municipal bonds from primary or secondary market like any other financial investment instrument.
